It works if you both try. My boyfriend is in college and I'm finishing my last year of high school. He comes down to visit and I'll go up and visit him. We had a few rough times but we always talked about it. Communication is key. Being in a long distance relationship is an opportunity to grow closer despite the distance between you two. I believe it does . My boyfriend used to live in New Orleans but had to move to Georgia 😭😭 . But we're still happy and he comes to see me on holidays and special occasions. I love it when he does because he's so dramatic and does  the most adorable things when he sees me . He texts me every morning and night and reminds me how much he loves me , he even calls me out of the blue and sings to me

It just depends on your relationship. If your relationship was built on a strong trust foundation, 9 times out of 10 you guys will be fine. Trust is the most important thing you can have in your relationship(especially when distance is a factor)

If you really want it to work out then I'm sure it'll be worth it but from my own experiences, it just never did. The distance is already a problem but there's also the time zone difference (if living in different countries) and it depends on the individual. Some like constant skinship so it gets lonely majority of the time. If anything were to happen to the partner, you wouldn't be able to be there for them right by their side. 
My recent relationship was a long distance one and we ended it a few days ago.. We thought it would work out but it didn't 😔

I'm in one right now. We live in two totally different states, he comes down every one to two months cause his mom lives here im not gonna lie it gets hard at times with school and everything but we make it work. we dated back in 6th grade for ten months when he lived here we're in 10th grade now. started start about a year and half ago and we just made it official again on June first, if you think you can handle it go for it but it's totally up to you.
