Okay ladies. I need help

I have currently been with out a period since June. This makes me think that I am not ovulating because my cycles are not regular. I had regular cycles up until this happened, but I was a long time birth control user. So I'm wondering if this was because it finally got out of my system? I have been off birth control for a year. My obgyn didn't seem too worried about it. I want to have kids. I just wonder if something is up. What should I do?
