Sleeping on stomach

This might sound strange but I haven't been able to sleep on my stomach during pregnancy as it has been uncomfortable. Although I know this is normal I am now 35 weeks and am able to sleep on my stomach a little. I find this very strange and don't know why I can. Has anyone else experienced this or know why? advice please. Thank you
