What if I want to wait till she's born? Till I am able too see her and hold her? Maybe even long enough to see just a hint of personality? When does the social security office finally force you to choose a name? 48 hrs after birth? 1 week after birth? Can I have a whole month? 😂😂😂 I wish!

I think it's 4-6 weeks. But it's easier in the hospital!

I didn't name my youngest until 4 days after he was born. I'm pretty sure you have up to 4 weeks, if I remember correctly.

I didn't have a name until I was 30 days old. I don't know if the rules are the same 34 years later, but you should check into it and don't let anyone rush you. ;)

I had family that was very adament about telling me the hospital won't let you leave without having picked a name. I still don't think I believe them... 🤔

Up until you leave! Once you leave the hospital your baby will be known as "Baby Girl _____(insert last name, on Birth certificate and social if you choose to apply for one, which you don't have to do until 1yr of age! You can always go change it later but not sure if they will charge!
