How long after c section can you shower?

Question

Having a c section with spinal next week.. how long after surgery can you shower? How long after can you get up and walk around

How about eating after a c section? Haha that's what I'm worried about because mine is scheduled Oct 12th at 130pm, can't eat after 12am that day and I get soooo nauseous if I don't eat when I wake up in the morning so I have to go through the morning and my surgery with no food :(

I could shower once the bandage was off of the incision. So 24 hrs. But I was encouraged to get up and try walking at 12 hrs when they took the catheter out.

It depends on how it goes, usually within hours. I had to wait a day to get out of bed and another before I could shower BUT I had complications. I was able to drink within 2 hours and have broth for dinner that evening.

With my first emergency c section I was up and walking on 5 hours hopefully this one is just as fast as a recovery.

I was able to shower as soon as my catheter was removed which was a few hours after my c-section.

I was able to walk about 8-10 hours after. They told me to wait to shower until the next morning, but they sponge bath wash your abdomen in the OR and you have to shower the morning of, so it wasn't a big deal to me.

I had an emergency c section at 250 and was up and walking/able to shower the next morning at 7am. It was shortly after they removed the catheter

They had me up to shower a bit less than 24 hours after each of my c-sections (like the next morning) . After I showered, I would push the bassinet the baby was in around the maternity floor. They told me that was part of the evaluation to make sure I was ready for discharge.
