Okay ladies,  this guy I'm kind of talking to offered to take me to lunch,  but me being me paid for myself.  It didnt don on me til I paid for my food and he just texted me an said he could pay for my meal an wanted me to know that and I told him sorry he can do it next time.  Please tell me, am I aa straight up bitch for this? If anything I thought I was doing him a favor....

Nope you're good girl. My date made me pay for my stuff. The cashier asked who was paying for the food and he said I was even though he's the one who took me out and ate some of my food without asking. I stopped talking to him instantly. I should've gotten up and left to go sit with a chick I had met earlier. And he had the nerve to try and kiss me at the end of the date. 😒 That pissed off so much.

He shouldn't be offended, there's nothing wrong with paying for your own food. It's 2016, women can do that now. My partner and I haven't paid for each other's meal since day 1 unless it'll get paid back or if it's a special occasion. I always feel like the other person expects something in return so I refuse to let them pay for my food.

You're not a bitch for paying for your own meal, but you might unintentionally be sending him mixed messages. He is likely thinking one of two things either you don't think he has money (which I don't know many men who think that first) or that you might not be interested in him. Usually when a guy asks you out on a date he expects to pay and he might think you're not interested in him since you payed for yourself. I would just apologize and say something like you're used to paying for yourself etc

No you arent hun. He was just being a gentlemen because he took you on a date and its his way of showing you that he likes you thats all. He shouldnt be offended,but let him know you werent aware that he wanted to pay.

Sometimes some of us woman tend to be independent and feel like we're a bother when someone does things for us even if it is a date , I don't think he should be offended but maybe you should work on that , if he's asking you out then it's a date and hes prepared to pay for you .
