marriage

Has anyone chosen to hold off on getting married because your partner is in a world of debt and you don't want to become responsible for it? I know that sounds absolutely terrible but I don't want places to start coming after me. We both have very good jobs and WE have been working on paying his debts off slowly but surely and none of his debt is new debt, it's mostly from before we got together but every year his tax return gets garnished and I never in my life have owed taxes or gotten them garnished....I want to marry him and I love him no matter what but like I said, I don't want places to start coming after me or take my taxes too!
