Checking Cervix?

Question

How soon did your doctor start checking your cervix for either dilation, length, or both? I belive my doctor said she'll start at my next appointment (24 weeks) and curious on how and when they checked yours.

Edit to add- I'm due with twins and high risk so it's to check for pre-term labor. Not the standard 36 weeks like normal which is why I was asking.

I get mine checked via ultrasound every appointment 😒 and I've never had shortening of the cervix! Kinda annoying but better safe than sorry, especially with multiples.

They've been checking my cervical length via vaginal ultrasound since week 18!

I had mine checked at my last appt at about 17 weeks

They've been checking mine since 24ish weeks every two weeks. I'm 30 weeks now

I'm 34 weeks now and my doc said he won't check me at all to avoid rupture til my next appt in two weeks

Mine were willing to check if asked at 36 weeks, and only required the check when you get to Land D. No checks after that needed either.

24 weeks is too soon. They usually don't start checking tell 36 weeks
