The pill and itchy skin
Has anyone else experienced all-over bodily itching since starting the pill?
I've been on Sprintec 28 for about three weeks now. I'm about to finish my third row of active pills and start my placebos.
Psoriasis runs in my family and I've always had maybe one itchy spot at a time but since starting my pill, my entire body has become very itchy.
The sides of my vulva (touching my thighs) have become to itchy that I've actually broken skin. I've pretty much broken skin everywhere I've been itchy, especially my legs/thighs. My chest, stomach, and hips are also itchy.
My nipples are always dry and itchy but they've only gotten worse, to the point where they're crusty and oozy all the time. Also, since the last time I had sex, the inside of my labia minora have been incredibly itchy as well. Same partner for the last 4 years (this is something that has happened periodically for a long time, though; no STDs).-
I plan on making an appointment with my doctor very soon. I want to see what happens when I'm just on the sugar pills. If this continues, I'm going to ask my doctor about switching to something else or remedies for the itching.
