early period or...?

Hello ladies so so far my period has been coming around the same time each month and has been completely normal and my last period was from September 18th to the 22nd. But today I went to the bathroom and wiped and there was dark brown blood. I haven't had sex in over a few months and my period isn't due until the end of the month. I don't have any symptoms of my period. Should I be concerned?
