I am a paediatric emergency nurse and we don't  start treating or being concerned till 101. Kids run warmer then adults.

That's a slight fever not too bad if it gets any higher call your baby's doc. But try cool baths and baby Tylenol

Normal body temperature is 98.6. Granted everyone is a little different but a 99.7 degree temp is most definitely a fever no matter who you are. You might need to call your babies doctor.

It's a very slight fever but nothing to give medication for or even worry about. I nevertey fever reducing until it hits 100.5 it higher. I also try to stay away from 'medications' Instead I try essential oils and herbal remedies first, which almost always do the trick

Yes That's a low grade fever, he's probably fighting something off. 
Keep an eye on his temp though

It's not a fever until it's over 100.
 98.6 is average but everyone is different. My normal temp is always 99.7. I would just monitor to make sure it's not increasing.
