Is Chivalry Dead?

In today's world, love, commitment, and monogamy isn't what we aspire to have. When I say we I mean men. Why is it that in a relationship we can't be comfortable enough to let our desire to love and our hope in fate run wild? We're too busy making sure that we don't invest our time into something that just fizzles down into a temporary fling. We let today's society determine for us what's right, and when it's right.
I'm 21 years young, and know I have a lifetime ahead of me, but is it okay for me to give up hope in a crazy beautiful thing called love?

If not where the hell do you find it!? I'm starting to believe maybe I was born in the wrong generation 🙄

It really depends on how these guys are raised. In thia social media generation, everyone sees/does everything for likes & FOMO. It's like they're getting their personalities straight from the Internet.

No one wants to be the next #fail...I guess.

I think guys try to be too cool and come off being cold. Some are just straight up assholes.

You can't have life without love. Just don't focus so much on romantic love at 21. Enjoy your friendships, your family, the gift of your body and its physical health, love of music and the arts, the things you touch, see, taste and feel. Travel around the world and create!

So some folks r lucky enough to meet someone amazing when they're young, the rest of us have to wait. I was 35 when I met my husband, I had never had a serious relationship before him, this may sound cheesy but I really feel like my soul knew he was out there & was just waiting 4 him. He got married right out of college, they were together for 10 years, have a son together, she came out as lesbian & asked for a divorce, 3 weeks after their divorce was final he & I met online, went on our 1st date a week later, got married a year & a day after that. His son is w/ us 70% of the time & we're expecting a baby girl in Feb. He's literally everything I wished for in a man. Stay true to your desire for real love w/ a decent man, it's hard to be patient but the one you're looking for is out there!!

My fiancé and I have been together a little over 5 years. We met in high-school. We're finally tying the knot next year. We've been 100% faithful to each other, we've made other mistakes and have said little white lies in the past but since then, everything has been good. He opens the door for me whether it be going into a store or just getting into the car. He kisses my forehead religiously, tells me I'm beautiful about 193942944 times a day, no lie. He does the unthinkable for me. He helps with laundry. He sticks up for me. He motivates me. Good guys are out there, just give it time. I'm 20 and my fiancé is 22. We met when we were 15/17
