That's a discussion for your doctor. UTI's don't always have to be treated with antibiotics. It's best to try to get rid of it by yourself first as we are using antibiotics too much and we're already seeing resistance against UTI's and certain STD's. Drink lots of cranberry juice and water. Also try 1 teaspoon baking soda mixed in water once a day or 1/2 a teaspoon baking soda mixed with water two times a day.

First line defence for UTIs in the NHS is nitrofurantoin or trimethoprim. There are loads of others inc penicillins that can be taken. But over here in UK, usually one of the first two are the go-to choice x
