Is having kids selfish?

In my option having biological kids is selfish, there's a serious overpopulation problem along with global warming. The worlds becoming more corrupt. Why would you bring someone into this whole mess? Why not just adopt? There's over 7 billion people on this planet, what makes you so special that you need to pass on your DNA?
