Buying a used baby carrier?

Is this ok or are they stretched out etc and not good anymore to buy a used one?

I was told not to buy a used carrier unless you know 100% that it has never been through any kind of accident.

My cousin gave me a Moby that she used with both her twins at the same time- it's still in excellent condition! Considering the cost of baby wraps (I'm a cheap ass) I don't see the harm in finding used ones, as long as they are still in good condition.

Depends on the kind and how well taken care of they are. 
I get bored of colours fast and styles. So I buy and trade them all the time. 
 I always test them and really check them before I buy them. But I buy and trade in a group of moms who take lots of care of the wraps and wouldn't sell anything unsafe. 
 Definitely check them tho.
