my birth story
Last Friday 9/30 I started having very mild contractions which would come once every hour or so. The next morning on Saturday they were a bit more regular coming about every 30 mins. But Saturday night they had gotten to be 10-20 mins apart. By this time I still wasn't sure if I was in labor or not (being a first time mom) & they were pretty painful but I didn't want to complain bc I figured if I was in labor I would know without question. Plus I wasn't due until Oct 23rd. But By Sunday morning and throughout the day the contractions were about 7 mins apart all day. My husband and I went to a fall fest bc I thought walking would help with the pain and it did. By the time we got home around 4 the pain was becoming excruciating and around 6 I called my doctor to get some advice. He said baby would likely be here within 24 hours so I figured I had to be in labor. He told me to try and labor at home to be more comfortable. But 10pm I told my husband it's time to go to the hospital. I was nervous bc at my last doc appt 3 days prior I was only dialated 1 CM but when we got to the hospital they checked me and I was at 4 with bleeding so they kept me. I got an epidural at 12 & slept pretty much all night til 7 a.m. By that time i was 9 CM and they were calling the doc it. She got there around 8, popped my water at 8:30, started pushing at 8:45... & less than 30 mins later baby arrived at 9:11 a.m. They said I did great pushing for this being my first baby. I'm so glad it is over & now have the love on my life in my arms. 💕💕 I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. My heart has never been so full 💙 xox 10.03.16 Xavier Ryan was born 6lb 7 oz
