I was on it for a year, off a year, then got pregnant and now I'm back on it again. My body does amazing with the Depo shot. No horrible side effects. I love it. I knew in the beginning it would probably take a year to get back normal and that's why I stopped when I did because I knew in a year I wanted to have a baby.

My friend had it and didn't get a period till one yeAr after even getting off of it. So if you plan on having kids in the near future I wouldn't do it, you have to wait months for the shot to wear off and then another year to even hav a child. I would try something else

Didn't work for me plus increased my appetite an had some other side effects

I would get a major headache for a few days after the shot.
