I'm having period-like cramps that keeps waking me up tonight.  But I feel like if they're contractions I would have no doubt. 37 weeks here 😫😫

I would say there almost like that but like... 100x worse. Lol. I hated hearing "you'll know your in labor." I seconded guessed myself so many times. But I ended up being induced and wow, yeah you'll definitely know when your in labor.

You will most definitely know when I'm on my 3rd baby and I know hearing you will know doesn't help but it's the only thing I can think to tell you it's like period cramps but worse some people don't have it really bad just time them and go from there good luck momma

I had cramps like that as well around those weeks, it's usually the baby moving downward and getting ready to come out (doesn't mean the baby will come out yet) lol but you'll know when they're contractions they'll be around you whole belly.

I'm 32 weeks and having contractions already and actually in preterm labor. First I thought they were Braxton Hicks but then they would get worse then Cramps and my stomach gets so tight and hard and when the contraction goes away my stomach gets soft again. I'm pretty sure you'll know when it's contractions because they hurt a lot more and contractions tend to get closer in 1 hour. Like I have a about 4-5 contractions in 1 hour

You probably are , at least Braxton Hicks contractions.  I had period like cramps sporadically for over a month before my son was born. I didn't know what it would feel like , and I mentioned it to my mom, and she was like "Oh My Goodness You Are Having Contractions!" I didn't realize that contractions would feel so similar, but really that what it felt like to me the whole labour, just the worst period ever.

Time them. That's how my labor started. They'd wake me up and I go back to sleep and then wake up again. I had a lot of regular contractions and lots of false alarms 2 weeks before my due it (I lost my mucous plug and was dilated but I only delivered 2 weeks after).
That night I didn't want to go to the hospital again in the middle of the night only to be sent back home so I waited then they started getting closer together and more intense (which was different than the ones I had before) so I called my mom and she said this is it we need to go. I had him noon the following day.
