regulating breast feeding & pumping ?? how ?!

I am trying to accumulate a stash since I will be going back to work in November . I don't want to stop breast feeding . How can I accomplish pumping and nursing without a chance of being tapped out at the wrong time

My LO always ate around every 3 hrs. So I'd pump about 1 hr or 1.5 hr before she needed to eat. That way I wasn't empty from her just feeding. But I also had more by the time she needed to eat again!

My boy likes to eat a lot at one time, and then sleep for long periods of time. I am pretty much forced to pump. But if your baby is feeding more regularly, just start pumping an hour after nursing. The more you nurse and pump, the more you will produce. You won't have to worry about being empty when it comes to the next nursing session. 
I've also just limited the amount I pump to 2 0z per boob, and that has seemed to offer me relief, and yet leaves plenty for baby.
