Cycle Changes after IUD?

So here's the deal:

I'm a 19 year old in a committed, long term relationship. I was on Skyla IUD for nearly 2.5 years when I got it taken out because 1. Side effects and 2. My strings pulled up into my cervix and had to be fished out, an experience I did not want to repeat. I decided not to go on an alternative bc for a few months, because I felt very out of sync with my body, given that my periods stopped on Skyla, but we have been using pull out and condoms, and have been careful when I am supposed to be ovulating. I got it taken out on August 2nd, and AF showed up around September 4th. It was normal in terms of length, heaviness, and PMS. Before my IUD, my cycles were 28-30 days, and I expected my "normal" to fluctuate a bit after my IUD was out. That being said, I am now on day 40 of my cycle, with no PMS or period in sight.

I have not tested yet, because I know that's going to be the first thing someone brings up; I'm going to wait a week or so and see if AF appears, but I have NO symptoms of PMS, which is strange, because usually my boobs start killing me about a week and a half before my period. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar to this after getting Mirena or Skyla out? We are sexually active, and we are pretty careful, in that he never goes until he's ready to finish, and we finish in other ways.

I'm honestly not too worried about possibly being pregnant; I'm at a point in my life that I can handle a baby, but I just want to know if what I'm experiencing is in any way normal, because all of the stuff online is about the FIRST period after IUD, and not so much the changes in the cycle overall.
