If the depo shot didn't work for me, is it a bad idea to try the Implant?

I read somewhere that they use the same exact hormones and it's just administered differently. The depo shot really didn't work for my body (lost weight, increased to severe anxiety/depression/personality changes, completely screwed up discharge that's lasted months).

I'm all for trying a new form of birth control but I don't want to try one that'll do the same exact thing.

The shot didn't work for me. I now have the implant and love it! Honestly everyone's body is different and you have to do trial and error. I have been on the pill, Depo, Mirena, and nothing worked. It was a long frustrating process.  Finally found the implant and I'm very pleased with it!

It uses one of the same hormones, but the chemical makeup would be slightly different. It may work for you and it may not. There may be a better chance Nexplanon won't work well for you, but you won't know unless you try it. Talk to your doctor about it and do a bit more research on medical sites as well.

Its a trial and error to find something that works for you you might have to go through a few methods and dosages to find your fit
