feedings?

Question

How many times a day does your baby eat solids? 
Our routine is oatmeal cereal in the morning around 10 and then he will have peas or green beans in the evening around 6 
Should I also feed him solids in between then for lunch?? Or is doing it in the morning and in the evening enough for now??

Answer

We do solids at (my) lunch and dinner. These times are between his regular milk feedings. We're doing Baby Led Weaning  (or "self feeding"), so he just gets a few steamed carrots, whole green beans, noodles, or that type of thing. We skipped cereals entirely. He will start getting breakfast (fruit, oatmeal sticks, toast, eggs) in the next month or so.

My dr says cereal in the morning, veg and fruit at lunch and vegetable and cereal for dinner. 
I do not do all that though. Mine gets cereal and fruit for breakfast and a vegetable for lunch. I sometimes do some vegetable if I can get an early dinner in but sometimes I don't have time and he doesn't have solid for dinner. If he eats too late he has a big poop in the middle of the night.
