What is a chemical pregnancy??

How do you know if you've had a chemical pregnancy?  I had never heard of that until I joined this ap.  Is there any way to prevent it?

Hi, a chemical pregnancy is an early miscarriage. So early that nothing could be seen on an ultrasound. There's really nothing to do to prevent these and are actually fairly common. Most people don't know that they have one because they mistake it for a period. I had one back in April and I was very sad.

Chemical pregnancy is where it doesn't complete implantation resulting in loss very early.

I had one in August. Lost baby a week after I found out, which was the day af was due. We had already told his family so it was very sad to go through but you can't stop it.
