How many ounces of breastmilk does a newborn need daily to not loose weight???

My 8 week old eats 2-3oz when my husband gives him a bottle.

By newborn you mean days old or weeks old. The first few days they eat maybe a tablespoon worth of breast milk. My son is now 4 weeks old and he takes about 3 oz each feeding. (I nurse and let my husband bottle feed expresssed milk occasionally)

Start with a ounce at a time but max newborn I'd say 2 every 2 hrs but just nurse on demand and you'll do great
