Frustrated!!!

On September 30th, we had our anatomy scan and found out we are expecting a little girl! Unfortunately, it looked like my Anna has a problem with her heart and they wanted me to see a specialist ASAP. We were so upset. We have had multiple miscarriages and this will be our first living child. 

Last Tuesday, my regular OB office called me and said I have an appointment for Thursday, 10/6, and it was VERY important I make that appointment and bring my husband. Now, my husband is in the Army and it was very difficult to get a hold of him (they were in the field). 

I already had an appointment for my OB office for 10/5, so I went. 

While in the waiting room I got a call from the specialist saying they cancelled my appointment and when I called back they told me it would be at least 3 weeks before I could get in. I told my OB, she got on the phone right away and got me scheduled for today, 10/10. When they sent my information and previous scans, they all agreed that I needed to be seen immediately!! My OB said she believes my daughter may be born with a severe heart defect. 

We were on the outskirts of Hurricane Matthew so I COMPLETELY understand rescheduling my appt for last week. 

So, I had not heard anything from their office since last week. My husband and I drove over an hour to go to this appointment today. I even called their answering service and was told that they would be open today. When we got there, the door was locked and there was a note on the door saying that they would be re-opening today, October 10 to see patients. 

 

So we finally called the main phone number for the hospital, and they said that that office would be closed today because their phones were not working and they did not have power. The funny thing is they did have power and the phones were working, so it seems like no one bothered to actually go and check. I've heard that they have been calling people that were on the schedule for tomorrow to reschedule their appointment yet here I am, I have still not heard anything from their office.

So sorry for the long post! I am at my wits end!!! I just want to know what's going on with my baby girl. ❤️
