5 days postpartum and feet swollen?

My feet are still puffy and swollen! It's like they never went down. the rest of my swelling has, hands, calves, my face was a bit. But my feet are as puffy as when I was pregnant!

I didn't have any swelling during my pregnancy but after my delivery my feet swelled up to almost 3 shoe sizes bigger than what I normally wear. even my flip flops wouldn't fit me. I think it's because of all the fluids I was on during labor for 36 hours (IV, Petocin, and epidural) it took over a week for them to get back to normal. I did as little walking as possible (although I'm told if you had a c section you should walk as much as possible) and propped my feet up any chance I got . have your SO massage them towards your heart. that will help. I also did the cabbage leave trick and that worked wonders. chill a head of cabbage in your fridge and then after a couple hours begin tearing leaves from it and wrap them around your feet (to hold them in place wrap a bandage around them or use socks if you don't have one) and let them sit for at least a half hour. repeat as often as you like. something about the cabbage pulls the moisture out.
