dry skin around vulva?

Question

So the other day I was cleaning in the shower and I saw I had an area between my right coochie lip and my thigh that was sore and the skin was peeling. And then I saw I've got red dry skin all around the outside and also along the edge of my inner coochie lip. I've been putting sudocrem on it to stop it being painful but I've got a couple tears. Boyfriend also has dry skin around the end of his yah-yah.

Is this just like friction or what
