preventing a premie

First I wanted to say this is my fourth pregnancy I'm currently 36 years old I have three sons and this is my first little girl. My last child was nine years ago and he was born at 30 weeks and I have had a history of cervical cancer including two Leep procedures. Due my history I  had a high risk ultrasound on Monday with a specialist. They are concerned about my baby becoming a preemie as well I went to my regular physician's office today and they gave me my first shot of progesterone also known as Makena. It's a little overwhelming and scary as my cervix is only 2.5 cm long compared to a normal cervix that is 4 to 5 cm long. I will have weekly ultrasounds cervix checks and weekly progesterone IM injections until I reach the 37 weeks.I feel confident in my physicians orders and I feel confident that my baby girl will stay in until full-term. All of my previous birth or natural birth I plan on having this one as natural as possible as well. Good luck to anybody else who is going through the same situation. Positive vibes 😊🙏🏾
