birth control CAUSING acne???
A couple of days ago I went to planned parenthood (no insurance) and got prescribed aubra for birth control. I went for two major reasons, obv not to get pregnant but also bc I am sick and tired of having such bad skin. It's emotionally exhausting, I have having to get up early and pound gross feeling makeup up, and I've never been to a school dance, taken senior pictures or anything like that strictly bc of my skin. Prom is coming up in a while and I want my skin in control before that bc I am just so tired of not going out to school dances bc of my skin. So I got prescribed AUBRA, which I researched afterwards and it's an anti estrogen, pro androgen. Which means basically, it's not good for ppl with bad cystic acne like mine. I guess I'm going to go back and ask for something pro estrogen but I'm honestly an emotional wreck right now bc it's making my skin WORSE! :( how do I even switch birth control? Do I stop taking this pack and start where I left off on the new one? How do I go to a regular doctor uninsured if I have to? Does the medicine cost wayyyy more when I pick it up at a drugstore? Help!
