Who's had breastfeeding success?

I always see posts on here for those struggling with bfing & although I enjoy seeing everyone support with whatever decision other mommas choose to do, I would love to hear of others nursing successes!

How long have you been nursing for? Do you give expressed bottles or solely the breast?

We've been nursing since the beginning born 9/3 5 weeks 4 days, she's never taken a bottle (mostly because I never leave her lol) I express every morning & afternoon to build up my supply for when I return to work in 4 weeks. We've had a great nursing relationship which makes me so happy! 
Her onsie says "I vant to suck your boob" 😂😂😂

We have had ups and downs! My LO is 18 days and has eaten 98% of her meals from the boob so far- a couple of bottles with breast milk (going to start doing 1/ day ago daddy can feed her in the evenings now that he's back to work).

I've had issues with my supply being crazy high (I know- not a bad problem but the almost constant engorgement sucks) which sometimes leads to her getting so much each suck she spits up and it sometimes comes out her nose haven't been pleasant!

I will say I am so very proud to keep at it because for me pumping and bottle feeding seems SO much easier! But I know nothing can beat the bond we are forming by breastfeeding and so we will keep at it until we can't!

😂 that's so cute! I've been breastfeeding since he was born (22nd sept) so about 3 weeks. I've done ok the midwife had to correct me couple times on my visits but all is well now and he's feeding great. He's had bottle a couple of times due to his dad helping out in the night but not regularly. Im going to try to express more though. ☺️

I did extended nursing with my son And things have been going great with my daughter so far.  I did have a little soreness the first week or so, but that is to be expected.

She's gaining weight and I'm no longer sore.  We are right on track!

We've been nursing for a little over 3 weeks now and been going great. Baby gained 1.5 lbs in first two weeks! I haven't started pumping yet to build supply before returning to work but will probably start next week as well as try bottle for first time. Struggled with engorgement and oversupply but it has been adjusting. I EBF my other daughter over 13 months so hoping for the same this time! Good job to you momma and keep up the hard work!

I been breastfeeding since birth but she was not latching properly and had trouble gaining weight. It was really hard the first 2 weeks she took around 4 formula bottles, and I also pumped for a few days while she was learning how to latch. I would let her try and suck on my breast, and then I would offer the bottle because she was still hungry. I'm so happy because I didn't give up and now she is EBF and I have lots of milk. ❤

I had my twin girls on 9/2 via c-section. The first week was rough because I couldn't get them to latch correctly so I was sore and cracking a little. By the second week everything was going much smoother and they were gaining weight quickly. They have been ebf for the whole time. I have been pumping a little here and there just in case I need it but I have not offered them a bottle yet. I plan on breastfeeding till at least one year. Good luck to everyone!

Ebf for 3 weeks so far! If you can make it past the first two weeks, then you're golden!

So far we haven't had any issues. My daughter is three weeks today and latches perfectly even after having to supplement with formula bottles for the first 10 days (she was in the NICU for two days) she takes a paci once in a while, she prefers the breast but will take a bottle. I offer the bottle after feedings to keep her familiar with it. I'm still super sore but my supply is good. I have a small freezer and fridge stash. I pump three times a day and get a total of about 10-20 oz of pumped milk a day. So far we are doing okay! Glad to see other supportive moms on here. 😊

Totally off topic but I wanted to get that onesie so bad for my baby boy!! I saw it on facebook somewhere and have it saved to my phone. Where did you get it from? Also, my baby is 1 month today and we are exclusively breastfeeding 👍 he is a little tongue tied so it has been a constant struggle but this momma is not about to give up. Anything for my babies

LOVE that onsie! Where did you get it?!? We are exclusively breast feeding since day 1. My LO was born 9/16. I wad pumping and breast feeding but it was making me overproduce more than I already do, and I actually got sick from over engorgement. So I have since stopped pumping and just breast feeding. In 3 weeks I managed to store over 60 ounces, that is more than enough to have "just in case"... and hate giving it to him anyways cuz I love the bond. My son hates the bottle, but has taken 2 or 3. Mostly worn the milk LOL. At his 2 weekappointment  he had gained back his birth weight plus an extra pound!! It is SUPER tough, but so worth it!!
