Some hospitals let you rent the breast pumps they have, or your insurance might provide you with a free one. As long as it's sterilized, I think it's okay to use a used one. I did recently see Target had some on sale, marked down almost $100 plus an additional discount if you use the Cartwheel app.

Have you tried going through your insurance? Most insurance companies cover one free electric pump.

My grandfathers girlfriend bought me a used breast pump, it was sterilized three times, the person selling, my grandfathers girlfriend and myself. It was fine lol, saved amoslt $100!

As long as it's sterilized in boiling water I find no issue with it.

While awaiting our baby due in February, I've been surprised what I'm considering getting 2nd hand now. Really good pram, rocking cradle. But pump, for me personally, I want new.
