Question

So I have seen on here women explaining about their SO  watching porn when they know they "shouldn't be"  because they aren't having sex with them,  and a lot of women are responding with "well just be happy he's not cheating on you" or "I'd rather my SO do that than be out there getting it somewhere else"
I'm just curious how common this thinking is. 
(I mean no offense to anyone, and I'm not bashing anyone's beliefs or anything.)

I think it's rude as fuck. You're seriously putting your partners on show for everyone to think they are animals who can't control themselves? Men can and do go without watching porn and *shock horror* stay faithful. Maybe it's time you out a little faith in them.

I was crazy and psycho to my man about porn at first then I finally realized how stupid that was. Now it's no problem. We watch porn together, and separately. We finally sat down and had an honest mature conversation about it. The main thing for both of us is we agreed to never watch porn and masturbate if the other is there and willing to have sex, or do mutual oral for each other, or even watch it and masturbate together!! So long as it doesn't decrease our sex life with each other, we have no problems! I think deep down that's what I was worried about back when I was all messed up over it. And our relationship has actually gotten even better since I became more understanding and also why the hell shouldn't I be able to watch it and masturbate when I want to if he's not there.

I dont think its healthy to think that way at all. I dont havr a problem with my boyfriend watching porn but i wouldnt say beczuse of those reasons, thats just kind of stupid

My boyfriend and I believe that getting off to another person is cheating, so we think porn is wrong in our relationship. But in some other people's relationships they accept porn and there's nothing wrong with that either since all relationships are different!
Although I somewhat agree with you, I find it confusing when people say "I'd rather have him watch porn than cheat" bc to me it sounds like they're saying if he didn't watch porn then he would cheat?? or maybe I'm just looking at things the wrong way

I think it depends on how you view porn. Getting off to porn for me is equivalent to reading erotica (it's just the visualization of those actions). It's not me or my boyfriend getting off to the attractiveness of another person or picturing them in bed, it's just getting off to a sexual act.
