Most won't until 39 weeks when the lungs are fully mature unless its for medical reasons but waiting past 41 1/2 weeks and the risk of your placenta stop doing its job and still birth increase. Each midwive and doctor has their own opinions and practices but my hospital wouldn't induce me until 41 weeks.
