How long do I have to wait to get a blood test done to see if I'm pregnant?

My doctor waits till you are 14dpo to do a blood Hcg test.

I do them to confirm every pregnancy. 
it can be done when af is due or earlier however a better result at 14dpo. also make sure you ask for a QUANTITATIVE test not just qualitive so you get nunbers of hcg not just a yes or no answer

You should get a positive on a hpt  then make an appointment if your levels are low they'll tell you to come back to see if they double
