HBCU's
So as of late, I have been preparing my daughter to get in the mindset of college. Although she is in the 8th grade, I want her to know the process begins immediately in high school. And understand what is needed to be done on her part to ensure she gets accepted into her top choice.
We have been watching YouTube videos once a month for the last few months so she can see virtual tours and "day in the life of" videos.
She stated that she interested in attending a HBCU preferably one not in Texas.
My questions are, have any of you ever attended one? What are the pros and cons of attending? Lastly, are there any particular HBCUs that are known for their prestige?
She is currently looking interested in communications such as radio/news communications (although this may change).
