AF due today...

Just started with light brown spotting (only when wiping). First cycle using preseed, no cramping, just sore boobs. I don't have any hpts so I tried an opk and it came up with a flashing smiley. Not sure what to think of it. Also not sure if it's worth it to go buy hpts if I'm spotting. Suggestions/thoughts?! Thanks!
