Has anyone had this pill at the beginning of induction? Or had an induction when they weren't dilated at all?

Not to scare you, bc I've already been ripped a new one on another thread for this, but take a few mins and really look into Cytotec. Go on the FDA website and read the warnings and why it is not an approved drug for induction.

That's all I will say, so as to not poke the other mama bears around here lol

I had 5 doses of Cytotec and it did absolutely nothing for me. I ended up having a c section.

Ask about Cervidil. It's a great first line in induction. That is how I was induced on Tues by my midwife. It helps to soften the cervix and get it dilated. I was 4cm when put in and it took about 6 hrs when it really kicked in and the contractions were almost on top of each other so they took it out. Then my labor just progressed on its own then. 3.5 hrs later I had a baby boy. Cervidil can stay in you a max of 12 hrs. If by then it doesn't work, they could try pitocin.
