What age for baby food?

Ny daughter turns 4 months on the 19th, and i want to try some kind of baby food. Is it safe?

Anyone else do it this early?

My Baby's pediatrician suggested we waited until Baby EJ turns at least 5 months before we start introducing food

Our dr said you can start anytime between 4-6 months. My daughter turned 4 months on the 13th and we started with puréed prunes on Sunday. She has issues with constipation so her dr suggested starting with prunes or pears. She loves the food and has been showing signs she's reDy for solids for a few weeks now (good head control, can sit well with support, interested in my food)

I started giving cow and gate jars at 4 months (last Thursday) but going to start purifying veg, she loves it though.

I would not give my baby anything before 4 month but like my nana said, with her 5 she started giving them rusks at 6 weeks old as her mother had taugh her to do and my nana taught her children to so .... And oooo for some reason all of their kids survived... All 11 of my great grandmothers kids all 5 of my nanas and all 10 of her grandkids, strange that!

I personally feel that they go a little over the top nowadays, but 4 months is fine, my hv and doctor told me this.

They say to try baby cereal first and then you can try stuff like vegetable baby food after that if you'd like

Yes Jus Try One Once A Week Because Baby May Have An Alergic Reaction. It's Rare But May Happen I Gave My Son Two Different Kinda In One Week And He Got An Allergic Reaction And Got Hives All Over His Lil Body He's 4 Months Old He Got Them About 4 Days Ago , If Baby Gets Hives Which I Pray That Never Happens To Any Baby It's So Sad , Jus To Keep In Mind Tho.. I Used An Aveeno Baby Oatmeal Bath And Calmine Lotion For Three Days Straight And His Skin Is Already Clear

My doctor recommended just sticking to breastfeeding for now because my son is growing very well. I think we will wait another month or two. From what I've read any food before 1 yr is just for experimenting
