First word or fluke?

I was asking my baby about his teeth today and I swear he said teeeeef. What do you think?

I swear my baby says mom especially when she is upset or about to cry lol

It may be that teeeef was said, but I'm not sure how much of it would be mimicking the sounds they hear you make or if they really know the meaning of the word and used it purposefully. Either way, its definitely progress!

Ya never know! Could've been! My mom swears I said my first word at 4 months while playing w a rubber ducky. She said I kept saying "qack qack qack!"

My baby says mama all the time to me & my mom. She's also said "da" but not dada. My husband won't let us count "mama" just yet, but we'll all know it was her first word 😉. I think it's all how you want to count it.

My mother in law asked my daughter how she's doing. All three of us heard her say good. Was pretty funny.
