What kind of water do you use for bottles?

Question

We have a well and although we drink the water I am not sure that it is completely safe for baby to drink. Sometimes there is a little bit of dirt in it if we have too many things going at once (washer,dishwasher,shower,hose etc).

What kind of water do you use? I read that boiling well water can cause any nitrates to become more concentrated which recommended against using it.

We just buy the baby water at the store. It's like $1 for a jug if it.

I heard that Nursery Water was a gimmick. My brother in law works as a water quality tester and said he tested all of the bottled water. he said that Costco brand (Kirkland) bottled water is the safest, purest water out there. this is what we use!

I use tap water after boiling it. But our water source is tested regularly and is a safe as it can be, anytime there is a scare we are notified immediately and buy bottle water if needed.

We buy Costco water - they have a pack of 6     1-gallon jugs and it is around 3.80.  Lasts a few weeks and is cost efficient plus I think it tastes the best!

Purple Nursery water me or my older son don't drink our tap we drink spring water so I'm surely not gonna mix it with my baby formula to drink

we have a water dispenser that uses the five gallon jugs of distilled water that we refill every week, only ten dollars for every five gallons.

If you have well water, call your local health department and ask about getting your water tested. The only thing boiling water does is kill bacteria. If there is anything of note in the water like nitrate, arsenic, lead, etc. boiling can concentrate those compounds. If you have city water, they are regulated and sampled regularly. Each city is required to give you a report every year describing the water quality. If you don't get one, look on the web or ask.

My pediatrician said tap is fine if it's been boiled.   When I'm out I use bottles

Right now I'm using distilled water from the store. But I'm about to ask my pediatrician what she recommends. I'm curious if we can just use the city water from or faucet.
