This app that I have tells me about my baby and the weeks that come. It says me being 17 weeks is 5 months. Is that correct ?  I'm a FTM so I'm not too sure.

You can set it to Show Week as either 'current' or 'complete'. It's in the pregnancy settings. I'm currently at 20+4 but it will show it as 21 weeks because I have it set to show the show as 'complete' week settings. I.e. By the end of this week (Wednesday for me) I'll be 21 weeks. If you have yours set for show week as 'complete' at 17 weeks, it will be counting it 18, which is indeed the start of the fifth month! I hope all that makes sense. Also while I'm thinking about this, even if yours is set at 'current week', the app could be counting weeks 17, 18, 
 9 and 20 as the fith month.

If you have gone to the Dr and input the babies progress from then it should be correct. If you just marked one day you were pregnant then it's probably just going based off the day you said you were pregnant.
