Southern Maryland/DC Members?

So, this is weird for me but I'm going to step out of my comfort zone. I've always been a "guy's girl". I very easily make male friends but making female friends has ALWAYS been a struggle. I'm an old fashioned king of gal (knitting, baking, etc) who is not about partying/clubbing so finding females my age (30) who have similar interests can be challenging. If there is anyone in the southern Maryland/DC area whose idea of a good night is vegging in sweats, drinking wine, and watching 80 movies...I'm your girl! Like wine tastings, brunch, apple picking, baking, and just overall being low key fun? Me and you can totally kick it. I'm putting myself out there because I would so very much like to have a group of girlfriends where relationships are nurtured, fun is had, and we grow with each other instead of apart from. Maybe I'm corny...but I'm ok with that.

Oh and if you enjoy dad jokes and are puntastic that's even better!

Omg say here. I'm 32 I am very picky who I hang out with. It's hard trying to find mature women with the same interest. I said I want more Gf to hang out with talk to stuff like that. But women to my eyes are iffy. I always can make a lot of male friends but women not to much. I have two close friends I call my sisters that are in my life. Other than that no friends. I need friends. lol God  knows I do. I'm so bored on days and some days I just don't wanna be bothered but when I do I wouldn't mind calling up some friends have a drink and talk about shit with. If u want a Friend here I am. I could use more of them lol

Hi Lindsay. I know exactly what you mean. I've been telling my husband how hard it is to meet females the older you get. Thy either already have their cliques, have kids so they can't hang out, or just don't want to do anything fun. 
I'm not sure where you are located but I'm in Waldorf so if you're still looking for friends to hang out with, let me know. (I feel weird writing this but you started it lol)

Hey Lindsay,

So, yeah, I never do this kind of stuff either-and may be *just* too far away, but I live in NOVA (Lorton) near one of the military bases.  Husbands a Marine and I work on various bases for a college.

We move a lot and it's hard as hell to make girlfriends--plus, I'm obsessed with my dog and sitting bra-less in leggings at home. Because I'm cool.

I dig punny wine, so if you're ever up for a meet up...game on?
