What should you do if you have a child from an affair with a married man?

A friend of mine had an affair with a married man and is now pregnant by him. Just wanted to hear some thoughts about it.

My opinion (I'm the original poster) is to keep the baby. The baby had nothing to do with its fathers horrible behavior and it's mothers mistake. I also see a baby as a blessing and my friend has cancer cells in her uterus so children in her future aren't definite. What are your thoughts?

Keep the baby, did she know he was married going into it? Either way only he owes his wife an explanation. I wouldn't expect much from him as a father but financial support. If she keeps the baby she should make sure she takes him for court ordered child support so that he can be acknowledged as the dad and her child can benefit in the future.

Keep it and make sure he does right by her and helps to take care of the baby, either by being there or paying child support. I'm not saying he needs to leave his wife or anything, but if she wants the baby, she should keep it.

Thats a huge no no! But it isn't the babies fault so that shouldn't call for an abortion. Give up the baby for adoption or keep it.

There isn't a wrong or right answer here. Does she want children? You mention she has/had cancer in her uterus, so this may be a blessing in disguise for her if she does want children. But if she doesn't want kids at all or isn't ready or doesn't want to be a single mom then there is nothing wrong with aborting or adoption. I really don't think the father plays into this decision. If she keeps it she can and should persue child support.
