Where to get Clomid?

I'm going to a doctors appointment in a few hours for a completely separate reason. It's just the little clinic in walgreens. Do they have the authority to perscribe Clomid, or do I have to go to an OBGYN? Is it worth even mentioning the issues at my appointment?

No they will not. It needs to be an obgyn or fertility specialist. There are tests that should be run first and they will want to make sure you have been trying for a year. People think it's a quick fix but you need to know there is a risk of ohss when taking it so it's important to be monitored also we are only allowed clomid so many times in a life time. It can do some pretty messed up things to our bodies if used for too many cycles. So you want the right doc to be able and monitor you and they will tailor the dosing to what is best for you. Each cycle it is taken with a bfn decreases the chances of it working. And DO NOT order it off the internet!!!!

Most Walgreens and CVS minute clinics have nurse practioners or RN's I think in them instead of doctors. They are authorized to prescribe some meds but when it comes to fertility meds that is a whole nother boat. I'd wait and talk to your OB or a fertility specialist.

I have had to get mine off a fertility specialist. I know a lot of people frown on it, but you can get them online. And in come countries over the counter. My cousin bought them in Spain. There's a risk doing that obviously. I have some off her before I went to the specialist they didn't work but I was fine taking them.

It can't hurt since your gonna be there but  with clomid comes blood tests and ultrasounds thst need to be done during the month at different times.    It's not a medication the Dr just give u and u go back if u get preg.     U need to be told what days to take it.  I took it days 5-9  your told exactly when to have sex and how often starting when  then blood test to check and make are u ovulated and ultrasound to check the ovaries to see how may follicles u product ed and if any look good that may release.     It's a process.

I would think an OB GYN would order it.   Usually it's prescribed after 1 year of ttc with no luck. Or after other testing has been preformed.
