birth control periods

So I started my bc pills three weeks ago, and I missed an Entire period for almost 2 weeks and now I've been having super light spotting and dark colored discharge but it's been happening for like 9 or 10 days now and my periods are always 6-7 days and were always very regular before this. Is it just taking time for my body to adjust to the bc or should I be concerned?
