Ok so i had a surgical abortion no more than two hours ago. I am the worse person for needles you will ever meet so i was more scared of that than the thought of the abortion.. first when i got to the clinic i sat in the waiting room with the other ladies. Some of them were teenages some of them grown women. I was terrified. Then it was my turn so i walked into a consultation room with the nurse she asked me questions about my health and family health, she pricked my finger to get my blood type then i moved on to the next room to wait with my boyfriend. Ten minutes later another nurse came and took me to a room to change into a gown they gave me and i needed to take my underwear and a sanitary towel with me. 1 minute later the nurse came back in and brought me to the surgical room. They put my legs up and i lay down. The nurse put the needle in my arm and before i could say anything i was out. I woke up in a recovery bed, i was out for 8 minutes.. the nurse left me for about 3 minutes to see if i could put my clothes back on ok on my own and i was fine. Probably had something to do with the nap i had before i went into the clinic. I woke up fresh, put my clothes on and left the clinic, got some mcdonalds and went home. I only feel light period pains and im happy to not be pregnant any more. I am only 22 years old and not prepared to raise a child. The worst part was waiting to go into the room. Honestly after reading online everyone elses stories i was so so scared but this was nothing. I would do it again if necessary but i wont put myself in that vunerable situation again.
