Do you think this is a bizarre way to spell Haley?

My sister named her daughter Hailley...with two L's. My mom has been making rude comments about it for WEEKS. Personally, I don't think it's that bad. But my mom is teaching my nephew to say her name weird (she emphasizes the HAIL and then carries out the L sound) and it literally annoys me SO much. Just curious what everyone thought.

I went to school with a girl And her name was Haleigh(haley). People just like different spellings. Nothing wrong with it. It makes it unique without giving them an odd unknown name.

It is different but she has absolutely no right to do that... especially with her son. We spelt our sons name Fynn instead of Finn and I love it and don't care what anyone says! I'm not going to lie if my mom did that I would freak out.

Bizarre isn't quite the word I would use - unique, yes.
My mom did kind of ridiculous thing like this with my oldest who had his fathers first name and different middle name. We weren't even going to call him by his first name, he goes by J.T., but my mother refused and everything she made for the baby she put his name as Tyler 😑
So now my son, who is 11, has things that only say "Tyler" on them and that's not even close to what he goes by. All because my mother didn't like his father. 
It's selfish and child like in my eyes to act this way.

Even if you go the traditional route of spelling it Haley, like my name, it really doesn't matter much because people have made up so many ways to spell it. I always get asked how it's spelled. I personally like traditionally spelled names, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to be different.

My name is Haley and growing up I got called "Holly" often...Hailley makes the pronunciation clear...it's not crazy to me I actually think it's pretty cool

This is a strange way but it's absolutely beautiful! My name is Lynsey, there's endless ways to spell it and no one ever spells it correctly. She needs to calm down and understand it isn't her choice to name her. It's beautiful to see people spelling names the most unusual ways because it shows a uniqueness to it. That's just dumb of her for making fun of that name I love it! We named our son Haydyn(Hayden) and I absolutely love it! I like unique spelling though and some people don't but who cares!😊

I always thought Haley was pronounced Hal-Lee while Hailey was pronounced Hay-Lee.

But no there is nothing wrong with the 2 Ls and no reason to emphasize it....

I know so many Haley's, from the original spelling to Hayleigh/Haileigh, Haylee, Hailey, and Hayli. Lol I like it don't think it really matters.
