what can you normally see on an ultrasound at 6w1d?

We went to our 8week scan in July and there was no heartbeat--we had a missed miscarriage. We are now pregnant again and my doctor wants me to come in for an early scan on 6w1d (which will be Monday). I didn't think you could see/hear a heartbeat that early. Am I wrong?

At my first appointment at 6 weeks 3 days all we saw was the gestational sac

Six weeks, one day. TWINS. I didn't get to listen to their heart beats but the rates were 122 and 134.

6 weeks can be to early to hear a heartbeat but you can usually see it flicker. Everyone is different and every machine is different. This early on the heartbeat will be slower!

This is my peanut measuring exactly 6 weeks and a heartbeat of 120 ❤️ but again don't stress if you don't hear one. It's okay this early on.

With my first pregnancy at six weeks we could see a fetal pole with a heartbeat. Next time round all we could see was the gestational sac measuring right for six weeks... a week later we saw the baby and beating heart. I think it depends on the sonographers skill and the quality of the machine used, and also whether the ultrasound is internal or abdominal. Internals generally show better image that early.

I had one a 6w3d and we got to see the heart beat. I even have a video of it. :)

6 weeks 3 days I got to see and hear my baby's heart beat of 150 and at 9 weeks 3 days heart beat was 175.
