Castor oil success stories?

I don't want any negative comments please. I'm 37 weeks 1 day and my baby is measuring 8lbs 2oz. He cant induce me unless a medical reason. If he doesn't come before 39 weeks I will have to have csection and I DON'T want that. I've tried just about everything you could do to help. So this is my last resort and he said he thinks it will be okay to do but didn't fully recommend it just hinted around because I don't think he's allowed to tell me to take it. Did anyone have any luck?
