Are you finding out the gender of your baby?

I am having a hard time deciding if I should find out the gender of my baby. It would be amazing to know but it would also be a great surprise to find out once my baby makes their arrival.

I found out through blood test at 11 weeks. I can't even wait for other people to find out their baby's gender lol

For my first, we were surprised. Nothing can come close to that feeling in the delivery room when you hear your baby's first cry and the dr announce "it's a boy!" I loved every minute of it. For #2, I wanted to know and hubby wanted to be surprised. It's completely different knowing - I know I'm having a little girl, I have her name picked out and it's neat referring to her by her name or calling her "little sister" when I talk to her older brother (who is only 1 and doesn't get it yet, but hey. Lol) I guess my point is there are positives to both finding out and not finding out. Finding out: you can get boy/girl specific colors/clothes, pick one name, prepare other siblings, do a reveal party, call baby by name ... Not finding out: extra excitement/encouragement during delivery (not knowing what the gender is gives extra incentive to push for vaginal delivery or remain calm during a c section), the moment of "it's a boy/girl," you drive your friends and family nuts, you get gender neutral toys/swings/clothes at your shower that can be reused for #2 ... Either way, you can't go wrong. It's personal preference :)

I'm too impatient not to know 😂 I like to prepare also! I was also thinking the same things though, that I'd love the surprise after birth! But I asked others who found out early and they say it's also a wonderful surprise at the scan and you'll be over the moon and surprised at your beautiful baby after you give birth anyway :)

We are waiting for the surprise, but if and when we have another I think I would like to find out so we have both experiences of not knowing and knowing

Not finding out did with our first which was nice but this is our last so can't wait for husband to reveal gender to me at birth xx
